Anna and Pietro

Pietro had always believed that Ukrainian women were the most beautiful women in the world, and for a long time, one of his dreams was to visit Ukraine and see this beauty for himself. But before he had the chance to travel there, he decided to create a profile on a dating website, never imagining that this decision would lead him to the woman who would change his life.

Pietro still remembers reading my first letter and feeling an immediate connection that was difficult to explain. There was something about my words, my personality, and the way I expressed myself that made him feel that he had finally found the woman he had been looking for.

I, Anna, was from the small city of Poltava in Ukraine, while Pietro was living in Milan, and on the surface, our lives seemed to be worlds apart. Yet from the very beginning, he felt that our distance was only a geographical detail and that there was something much more important connecting us.

Pietro was certain about his feelings quite quickly, but I needed much more time to understand what I wanted and to believe that such a serious change in my life could really make me happy. I had many doubts and understandably worried about leaving everything familiar behind and starting a completely new chapter in another country.

He never wanted to pressure me, because he knew that such a decision had to come from my heart and that trust needed time to grow. Instead, he tried to show me that he was serious about our relationship and that his feelings were not simply the excitement of an online romance. Little by little, I became more confident in us, and eventually love proved to be stronger than all my fears and doubts. Our relationship led us to marriage, and our wedding became the beginning of the life we had dreamed about together.

Today, Pietro and I live a peaceful and happy life in Milan, enjoying the simple things that make our days truly special. We have our own home, our beloved dog, and the feeling that we are exactly where we are supposed to be. I especially love the ordinary moments we share, because they remind me that happiness is not always about grand adventures but often about having the right person beside you.
